With their opening meeting against the USA Dream Team on Good Friday fast approaching, the Doonan's Wildcats have announced a new start time for their Friday nights racing. This season will see the Wildcats bring their start time forward 15 minutes to 7.15pm.

SCB Track Inspector, Colin Meredith has given the green light to the Wildcats revamped Wessex Stadium circuit following his visit this week. Mr Meredith was full of praise for the renovations and Wildcats Chairman Phil Bartlett was ecstatic at the outcome of the inspection.

With just over 3 weeks until the Wildcats ride into battle against the USA Dream Team on Friday 6th April they have one more hurdle to overcome. The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) undertake a track inspection on Monday 19th March 2007 to ensure that all the recent track improvements comply to SCB legislation.

After a few months of travelling no further than the pub, Tuesday night saw the beginning of the Wildcats away days. Phil and myself left Weymouth at about 2pm, heading for Portsmouth and the ferry to the Isle of Wight. After a rather uneventful journey we reached the ferry terminal at 3.45 to be met by the Islanders promotion with hands full of tickets.
