Wildcats - Press Release
Weymouth Wildcats Chairman Phil Bartlett
has moved to assure fans that the clubs
future at the Wessex Stadium is safe
despite the current restructuring at
Weymouth Football Club.
Phil states “I have spoken to Gary Calder
the Chief Executive at the club and
he has assured me that there is no threat
to the speedway and we will be racing
at the stadium in 2007.”
Phil added “We, as a club have also
had a turbulent year with refusal of
our planning application and noise issues
and can empathise with the club and
its supporters. Weymouth Speedway has
received an enormous amount of support
from the Football Club and its fans
over the last year and its times like
these that support from the fans is
needed the most. We urge all supporters
of the Terra's and the Wildcats to get
behind the club in its hour of need
and all the staff and management at
Weymouth Wildcats Ltd hope for a successful
outcome for the Terra’s”.
